David
C. Heiser, owner of Heritage Acres,
has been riding and showing horses since 1962. David,
a graduate of Baldwin Wallace College with a Masters
Degree in Sociology, spent the first 10 years of his
professional life working for three YMCAs as Executive
Director. Needless to say, riding programs were developed
at all YMCAs where he worked.
As a junior rider,
David qualified and competed at both Harrisburg and
New York. While college and work limited the time
available for riding, David always had at least one
horse in training and showing.
David purchased the
horse farm known as Heritage Acres in 1981. Since
that time the facility has added a new indoor arena,
additional pastures, wash stalls, two additional outdoor
arenas and many other improvements that make Heritage
Acres the show facility of Central Pennsylvania.
The riding program
at Heritage Acres has consistently placed students
and horses in both local and regional standings while
never losing its ability to work with both beginner
and pleasure riders. David Heiser is proud that the
Heritage Acres program produces quality horsemen and
women who take pride in their accomplishments.
